Caviar and Champagne Nobu Celebrations

Toasting a New Year with Caviar and Champagne experience might just manifest the feel good mood you crave in 2026; and with the impending Lunar New Year, what better way to celebrate than head to Crown Melbourne for a luxury fine dining pairing.

Crown Melbourne has crafted a limited-edition Caviar and Champagne dining option you can find across their top tier fine dining spots including Nobu, Bistro Guillaume, Koko, Marmont, Silks and The Waiting Room.

We opt in for the Caviar and Champagne session at Nobu. Settling into the energetic pace of Nobu on a Saturday night is an experience unto itself; it’s busy in the basement level of the Crown waterfront restaurant on the night we arrive; and we’re within an eyeshot of the chefs as they create a parade of sushi and sashimi delicacies that are delivered table side.

We add the caviar and champagne for two to our dinner for four night out; the accompaniment elevates the experience for my partner and I; a moment to pause and enjoy the Kaviari caviar – a Parisian artisanal treat that when paired with a glass of champagne stings with briny flavours that simply whisk you elsewhere.

The caviar and champagne tradition dates back to Russian aristocracy; and became popular in Paris during the Roaring 1920s. It was an era for luxury Russian caviar paired with French champagne; a melding of elite worlds for an indulgent experience tableside.

These days, caviar and champagne experiences are for all to enjoy. At Crown Melbourne; it’s about conjuring a past tradition in the present moment – a gastronomic heavenly hit between your dishes.

You’ll always find caviar on the menu at Nobu regardless of when you dine – served elegantly alongside the salmon or toro tartare, but on the night we visit, it’s on a bed of ice with caviar pots and condiments to accompany the briny sensory trip.

Kaviari Caviar is featured on the King Crab Jalapeño roll while a choice of Dom Pérignon or NV Veuve Clicquot is also on offer.

Ideal for those who want snack style celebrations.
