Actress and comedian Charlotte Grimmer will tour her one-woman show Initial Consult at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival next month – the show scored some fab reviews from Edinburgh, Adelaide and Sydney Fringes.
The Brisbane based creative who has also worked on the ABC TV’s Frayed, is adored for her very funny social media content too; parodying everyone from eastern suburban [yawn] mums to drama teachers who take over a PE class for a day. Check it out for a laugh. @charlotteisgrim.

Brisbane. I recently moved back here after living in Sydney for seven years. I love it because my family are all here.
FAVOURITE FOOD MEMORY
Basil Nut Cafe & Restaurant in Katoomba. I was pregnant at the time and craving pad see yew and it really hit the spot. Some of the best Thai I’ve ever had or maybe it was just satisfying a craving.
FAVOURITE BAR
Patio by Range in Rosalie (Brisbane). It’s such a great place with yum food and delish beers/ drinks. I love their pub squash.
DRINK THAT DESCRIBES YOU
One of those over-the-top deluxe chocolate milkshakes because they’re dramatic and so am I.
BEST HANGOVER CURE
Watching Grand Designs.
BEST INTERSTATE BAR
Fortunate Son in Enmore (Sydney) because I had a delicious choc/mint cocktail there once.
OVERSEAS BAR
My last overseas trip was to Edinburgh in 2023 for the Fringe. I went to the Greenside Venue bar a lot because that’s where I was doing my show. Go to the Edinburgh Fringe. It’s fun.

Robert Bowen Chardonnay.
FAVOURITE WINERY
I went to the Hunter Valley for a night when I was a student and we just went to all the places with cheap or free tastings. From memory, the best one was DeBortoli.
