Legendary Australian rock frontman Dave Gleeson (The Screaming Jets, former lead singer of The Angels) makes his Adelaide Fringe debut with Long Way To The Top, a high-voltage, 60-minute celebration of iconic Australian rock.
Gleeson will perform the biggest hits from AC/DC, INXS, Powderfinger, Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil, The Easybeats, Divinyls, Nick Cave with his live band.
Produced by Adelaide native and longtime friend Groove Terminator, the show brings together Gleeson’s enigmatic stage presence and decades of rock history; given the Gleeson rock make-over.

MY CITY
I love that Adelaide is a city with everything. Moving here from Sydney, I wasn’t sure how I’d adapt, but it didn’t take long to feel at home. The city is buzzing, with brilliant bars and restaurants, yet it still has a relaxed, country feel. The people are friendly and no one’s in a mad rush, which gives the place a great energy. Everything’s so accessible too, from the beaches to the Adelaide Hills and the wineries; it’s all right there.
FAVOURITE FOOD MEMORY
Among all the delicious food from Duncan Welgemoed at Africola, it’s his ‘Crispy Chicken Skin Sandwich’. I could literally eat 20.
FAVOURITE BAR
Bread & Bone is a great bar – with great burgers, a killer soundtrack and cool af staff and service. They have a big selection of specialty beers…and of course my favourite Coopers Pale on tap.

It’s gotta be Maccas.
BEST INTERSTATE BAR
Cherry Bar, Melbourne. It’s rock’n’roll through and through.
OVERSEAS BAR
The Ice Bar in Queenstown New Zealand. I took my daughter Bella there and we had a blast. You get dressed up like an Arctic explorer and the bar and everything in it is made or ice – even the glasses!
FAVOURITE WINE
When my wife Katie and I first moved to Adelaide from Sydney, we had a 1972 Grange at Penfolds Magill Estate – hard to top that one.
FAVOURITE WINERY
Anderson Hill at Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills – great wines, great food, great people and magnificent vista.
